I've been trying to find a good, inexpensive audio solution for windows vista, and I just havn't found one yet. The new Xfi from Creative Labs looks like the best bet, although It seems to get a bit expensive to buy "all" of the product. I'm wondering if there is a way to convert the SPDIF connection from the s/video connection to rear, front, and sub 3.5mm stereo connections; in order to use my logitech Z-5300 in their 5.1 setting; ie, I want true 5.1 audio, not simulated. Are there any options? Or would purchasing an internal/external sound card be my best bet? Thanks.
