    Greets !

I'm wondering are there any SSDs (both 1.8" and 2.5") on the market at the moment ? I know that there has been a lot of announcements this month but is there any that is out already ?

    Thank you !

Samsung 32GB SSD is already out for quite a while now. Its still very expensive though. Samsung announced 64GB to be released soon...

You got $40,000 to spare on a 64GB drive? Last I heard the price of them was very high.

From what I remember, a 64 GB SSD was around $600. As with any new technology, it will be a niche product that only early adopters will buy. Even though they provide better performance than magnetic hard drives, I think it will be some time before their price/performance ratio becomes comparable or cheaper. At the moment SSDs are not available in the U.S. but they should become more visible by the end of this year.
