    Hi,

I'm about to remove the Recovery Partition from my Samsung NP900X3C in order to get more space on the SSD.

However I've heard some stories about the SSD having to be aligned? Is there any specific way to do this?

    Thanks

As far as I know just performing a fresh installation of windows 7 will automatically realign your SSD.

^ this is probably the best way to go. Or you could try deleting the recovery , and using disk management to expand the primary partition, then check the alignment http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/Checking_SSD_Alignment. Note, I would suggest a full system image before making any changes

If the recovery is located "after" the windows partition and the SSd is already aligned, then you don't need to do anything aside from deleting and extending.
