Hey guys,
Ive just been surfing around here looking for ideas on SSD/HDD performance boosts. Ive had some trouble finding what I need so i thought id start a thread in case someone gets the chance to respond before I can find it myself.
I want to partition both my Intel 510 120GB drive (70%) and my 7200RPM harddrive on a new P8150. Is it possible to create the partitions without wiping data on the drives? Reading some PDFs on partitions from Crucial, I was given the impression creating new partitions would do just that. I just want verification because Im not sure i want to screw around with a drive that already has all my drivers/OS installed on it...
Also, will making multiple partitions on the 750GB HDD improve performance, or is it really only worth it to make one say 100GB)
For those pro users out there, have any tips on processes to turn on/off for the SSD? excluding defrag
Thanks a lot, hopefully i can find the answers myself just by digging around
