I've been seeing these Hybrid SSD everywhere and just wondering if anyone had some information on them?

What are the upsides, and downsides?

Are they worth the extra $$ for the upgrade?

How does it compare to the pure SSD?

    Thanks in advance.

If you're not in a rush, the 2nd generation Seagate XT's should be coming out soon.

Any idea when? Month? 2 month?

Also where's a good place to buy them, cheap, reliable?

    Thanks

I've gone to that thread and read through half-ish of it ... that's a lot ... heh

But I've decided that I do want it and would like to know if anyone knew a good place to buy them, I see them floating around for $99 which is decent enough. Just wanted to know if anyone had some other place which is reliable.

Yeah I like it too. It's called Google Shopping. Good for searching for low prices.
