    Hello,
I want to upgrade my Asus G74SX with a SDD, I dont really know which one i should buy, brand, model or what.. I dont need much GB++, I'm keeping the second HDD.
What brand do you recommend? Maybe a model, something with 90GB++ more.

Yes, I'm looking for performance, my maximum would be around +-150€ if possible.

If the prices in Portugal are the same as in The Netherlands you have only 2 options:
    Crucial m4 128GB
    Intel SSD 320 120GB
I selected Crucial, Intel, Plextor and Samsung, minimal 100GB and maximal 150€.
I leave it to others to recommend one of these :D

You can get a Crucial M4 128GB for 151 Euro from Amazon.eu, Samsung 128 for around 170 Euro, if you want to try your luck there's a 131 Euro option of OCZ Agility 3 120GB. These are my choices in that order.

I recommend Samsung 470 128GB (2nd best real-world endurance I've ever seen and surprising real-world performance, I own two and have brutalized both for more than 2 years now without a hiccup where other brands I have owned died within weeks or months, google Samsung 470 endurance) or Intel X25-M G1 (top real-world endurance I've ever seen).

Neither of these will perform well if compared to SATA III SSDs, but the Samsungs are astounding when compared to other SATA II SSDs.

Beware some JMicron, some Indilinx, and some early SandForce controller based SSDs.

Don't rely solely on benchmark numbers. They are most often misleading in regard to real-world performance.

I do think it best for you to research any drive suggestions, and judge for yourself before finalizing any purchase. Not everyone will have the same experience with SSDs.

Here is a link that covers endurance and real-world performance pretty well.
