I have an Asus U45JC-A1 Laptop and had it for a few years already.
Amazon.com: ASUS U45JC-A1 14-Inch Thin and Light Laptop - Up to 10 Hours of Battery Life: Computers & Accessories
Its specs are
Windows 7 64 Bit
I3 M370 Processor @ 2400ghz
4gb ram
5400rpm
It seems to have 298gb total on my hard drive when i check my computer but i almost never have more than 50gb used up so i always have over 200 gb that is free. I don't have much stuff on the laptop. The last year or so, the laptop has gotten extremely slow. It would also freeze a lot and i would need to press control, alt, delete to unfreeze it and even when I do this, the laptop freezes a good bit. I read how getting an SSD would make your laptop much much faster.
I plan to be using it to play poker. I used to play on laptop very sparingly back then because i would usually play on my faster desktop. At that time, i rarely play that many tables. Can someone recommend me what SSD to get?
Can someone recommend me an SSD drive for this laptop through amazon? Would 120gb be enough or should 250gb be better? I want a laptop where i don't need to upgrade it ever so it makes sense to get the 250gb vs 120gb right? Im most likely going to get the samsung 840 but should i go get the 840 pro instead?

I have an Asus U30Jc with an i3 350M with 8GB RAM and have had a variety of SSD's installed.
Highly recommend Windows 8 64bit with any SSD you go with.
The currently available SSD's I would recommend for this platform (Arrandale) is the 240GB SanDisk Extreme.
I would wait for a sale for it (have seen it go as low as $140) and don't rush to pay full price (~$230) for it though. At the lower price points; it earns it's recommendation against better/faster SSD's like the Intel 520 Series (easily).
The RAM is very important to max out - as is opting for the latest O/S (Win8) too. Each goes hand in hand to make the platform much more than the individual parts would have you think at first blush.

And if you're serious about keeping the system for a few more years:

Follow the suggestions in the above link.
Finally, while you're waiting for parts to ship: clean your vents/fans/etc. as best you can - hopefully you won't have to do a repaste on the cpu to keep it from 'freezing' on you...
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
