Hi
I saw that my Crucial M4 128GB isn't properly aligned. (31k)

Now, I think the performance can be much higher (note: my computer only supports 3.0GBps!)
Anyhow 4k performance is quite low.
How can I properly align this SSD? I've read this article:
How to: Properly re-align your SSD/HDD partitions
BUT I dont have a windows CD. Anyway you can ignore that link.
I read that paragon alignment tool (PAT) can fix it without a problem.
The problem is that it's not free. Does someone have a trial link or know another program.
I don't want to reinstall EVERYTHING (windows, programs, etc.) ...

Hi. You can do this pretty easy using gparted. Download and put it on a usb stick or cd. You want to move your partition so that it is offset by exactly 1mb (1024k).
I used this method myself when I migrated to my much loved M4
Here's an article explaining the process or you can Google "gparted alignment " for other sources:

Good luck!
