Hello,
I just bought a 64GB RunCore Pro IV 1.8" 5mm PATA ZIF Solid State Disk SSD for my dell D430. I also have a Dell D420. The problem is that both laptop's are not recognizing it in bios. When i connect it with the normal usb enclosure it works. I thought the hard drive is broken, i return it, and bought a 60GB Renice K3VLAR K3E Series 1.8-inch PATA ZIF . With this i have the same problem. It's not recognized by bios. I've done bios update, i initialized the hard drive in win xp (so with the usb enclosure it work's) but still no results. I don't know what else to do. Is any compatibility issue between this hard drives and DELL D420/D430 or i'm doing something wrong ?![]()
I appreciate any ideas from you.
Thanks.

Hi!
I have a question. I want to upgrade my laptop with an Segate hybrid drive. This drive is compatible with my notebook?
My configuration is:
-Intel® Core2 Quad Mobile Processor Q9000 (6MB L2 Cache | 2.0 GHz | 1066MHz FSB)
-18.4" WUXGA Acer CrystalBrite TFT LCD (1920 x 1080)
-4GB DDR3 1066 MHz Dual Channel Memory
-NVIDIA® GeForce® 9700M GT with 512MB dedicated video memory
-2*500GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive.
- Windows Seven Ultimate 64 Bit.
I want to replace a hard drive in my notebook with this hybrid drive from seagate ( Momentus XT | 7200 RPM | Seagate ) to improve speed and boot speed. I dont know if this hybrid rive is compatible with internal drive connectors from my notebook. The old drive, I want to put in a external case and connect to a wireless via USB. With this way i improove the speed and storage capacity.
The hibrid drive is sata 2 ( 3 Gb/s) Interface.
I don't know what interface is my notebook.
