I recently ordered a studio xps 1340 from dell and I am going to replaced the standard 320GB hard drive with an SSD.

I really don't need much space. I have a backup external hard drive which I keep all my programs photos etc.
I will be using windows vista or windows 7(~10GB) and the programs which I install may take up 30GB MAX.

So I am thinking about a 60 or 64GB SSD, perhaps an 80GB

I am looking for a faster/higher quality SSD and not a cheaper one that is low quality and slow, however I don't need the fastest(most expensive). I'm not sure about this part though.

    Any suggestions?

    Intel X25-M 80 (~$400) or 160GB (~$800) or X25-E 64GB (fastest, ~$800) or Samsung 64GB SLC (cheapest, ~$200) or 256GB MLC (best bang for you buck, ~$600).

Would actually second every one of those suggestions. May want to consider the OCZ Vertex, but it's long-term usability is still questionable. Just stay away from the JMicron MLC drives and you should be fine.
