Look for new laptop for work for my mother and i wnat to instal ssd on it.Lapotp most likele will be hp probook 6330b.On the ssd will be instaled her work program, and the ifno on it is very important, without that she cant work.Any instal or preinstal on windows is living horror,we experience this two times, and the two times thanks tho the dead hdd.Second time was last week.I instal windows and all things very quick,i do this on my laptop almoust every month :D(love to tweaking and testing),but the stupid program takes day and a half to be instaled, backuped and so on,then she have issues 2-3 days after that, and because she is very bad with tech i must run to office and make the things. Now we decide to change her laptop- one stupid inspirion with some busnes model wich i think wii be more durable. And instead of hdd to put ssd.But i dont know wich ssd to choose.Read about kingston kc 100 wich is rated as busnes ssd,and if it is busnes then it muss be raelible, and kingston is solid rock for me,the other is samsung 830.I have kingston hyperX and i am very happy with it,no problem so far 4 or 5 months, and as i see from the little info in the net the kc100 it is almoust the same expect some AES crypting controler on it.BUT it is sandforce, and i dont want to gambling.I have fate in kingston but no in sandforce,on the other hand samsung are solid rock with their driver and controller.I dont know.

Don't gamble: get an Intel (period).

    Good luck.

Concur with tiller - get the Intel. Have two of them - bit pricier than others but rock-solid.

I own/owned 6 different Intel SSDs, never had a single hiccup. Samsung also has an impressive track record.

If there's one thing I learned from this forum section is that OCZ/Sandforce is garbage and Intel/Samsung is amazing :p

It's just too bad because OCZ SSD's are almost 1$/per GB. Intel/Samsungs are like 1.50-2$/per GB from what I've gathered after comparing several websites.

I was wondering why people hated OCZ/Sandforce so much so I googled. Apparently customer service denies replacements, deletes posts on their forum and bribes review websites with cash/equipment even though the failure/problem rate is said to be significantly high.

Even laptop resellers have "dropped" them since they had to pay out of their own pockets to replace hundreds of customer OCZ/Sandforce SSD's (added on a configured gaming laptop) because OCZ/Sandforce refused to give them replacements and now they have big piles of them collecting dust.

Thanks for the help,i may go with samsung 830 it is faster than intel and with the same reability.Kingston just dont post all the thing araund their ssd,it is says that it has some improved clearing wearleveling system that is usualy found on enterprice ssd but nothing more specific, looks more like empty talks.Just like the "more FPS" with HyperX ssd.

SATA2 intel got down to $1/GB plenty of time, and most user wont notice the different between SATA2 vs SATA3.

Old kingston(v100) used to be good budget choice because it was the only brand that dip down to $1/GB, and their reputation wasnt bad at all.( Small market share probably) But hey, they make good ram.

Intel X25-M drives can be found on eBay for $1/gig or less on a regular basis, they are proven reliable, and plenty fast.

Also, it would be good to know the number of times the Flash has been recycled before buying a used MLC drive.
