    Hi
This morning I pulled my 120gb SSD from my desktop PC and replaced it with a 512gb one. My intention was to put my 120gb SSD in my 2009 sony NS30E so I went ahead and cloned my laptop HDD to it, swaped them over and attempted to fire it up when it displayed operating system not found, assuming it was the cloning software as I have had issues with it before so I put in a windows 7 install disk. Again no luck as the SSD wasn't shown on the drive selection screen.

    Any Ideas
    Cheers, Chris

I ran into a similar problem when cloning a drive. To fix it, boot into your Windows 7 DVD, then select recovery options (instead of install now). Then choose command prompt. Type in
    Code:
    bootrec.exe /fixmbr
    and then
    Code:
    bootrec.exe /fixboot
should get your Windows installation operational again. There are additional commands to try if those ones don't work, but we'll start with the easy ones. :)

sorry for taking forever got really busy with work all of a sudden but I have just tried your suggestion and got the error 'The system cannot find the path specified' note the OS has been upgraded to Windows 10 and I'm using a windows 10 recovery disk if that makes a difference.

Just fixed it turns the factory drive bracket was meaning the drive wasn't connecting properly, now just to find some way of securing it .
