Hey guys
I am at the computer shop right now and just got a SSD.
I bought Corsair SSD 64gb 2.5" Gen2 220MB/s Read and 120MB/s Write for $225
my other option was
OCZ (OCZSSD2-1VTX60G) Vertex Series SATA II 2.5" 60GB Solid State Drive, Read: 230MB/s, Write: 135MB/s
I want to know if I should return the corsair and go for the OCZ because the read and write speed is a bit higher.
Would that much difference in the speeds be noticiable? I will be using it as boot drive.
The down side to Ocz is that it's only 60gb while the corsair is 64gb.
Thanks

I would not.

You would struggle to notice the performance difference without using benchmarks (which you can see at Tom's Hardware).
A lot of the performance boost provided by SSDs is because of the <1ms access times.

You have it slightly wrong. The OCZ drive and the Corsair drive are the exact same size. OCZ markets its drives as 60GB because that's closer to the actual size of the 64GB Corsair drive. As far as I know, OCZ is one of the few, if any companies that markets the true capacity of its drives (in this case, both drives should be 59.6GB. What Corsair and most other companies mean when they say "64 GB" is not "64 gigabytes" but rather "64x1000x1000x1000 bytes." However, a gigabyte is equal to 1024 megabytes, which is equal to 1024 kilobytes, which is equal to 1024 bytes. Thus, the true capacity of a "64GB" drive is 64 x (1000/1024) x (1000/1024) x (1000/1024) gigabytes, which comes out to ~59.6.

Hey guys,
I really appreciate all the comments. After reading the comments I was going to stick with the Corsair SSD but turns out the OCZ matches or exceeds the specs while being $20 cheaper.
So I went back and switched it got back $20.
Thanks again!
