Does it make sense to swap my hard drive from this

    N53SV-EH71 w/ Core i7-2670QM, 6GB, 500GB, DVD+/-RW, 15.6in LED HD, GeForce GT 540M, Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    to Crucial
M4 2.5in SATA III Solid State Drive, 128GB

does it make sense to have less storage for a faster speed??

    Simple answer: Yes.

Sorta kinda not In Depth answer: Depends.

An SSD upgrade is the best thing you can do to make your computer snappier. If you're willing to sacrifice the storage space and your wallet can take the hitm go for it. SATA III doesn't hurt either. (SATA III = Fast, 6gb/s)
