I have already upgraded to an SSD but I know there are lots of people out there that delete the pagefile and hibernate file in the process of upgrading.
What are the pros and cons of doing this OTHER than extra space?

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
I disable hibernate, chews up too much space, too many issues with hiberate, SSDs and Windows 7. Disabling pagefile is controversial, I've seen certain programs not function properly with no pagefile, I manually set mine to minimum 64 MB and maximum 1024 MB (my Alienware has 16 GB RAM).

Don't completely disable your pagefile as Windows uses it regardless of how much RAM you have. You could make it smaller however - 1024MB is a good size for an average user.
Same with your hiberfile. You don't have to disable it completely but you can instead make it 50% smaller if you sometimes use the hibernate function. Run the following in an elevated cmd prompt:
Code:powercfg -h -50

I've disabled hibernate, and set my pagefile to ~500MB, or whatever the bare minimum was.
Most newer programs probably wouldn't need the pagefile and I'd normally delete it, but I run older games that'll refuse to boot if there's none. For example, I've had issues with CnC and no pagefile.
SSD upgrade? pagefile.sys and hiberfil.sys?
