I have a 750 gig hard drive with all my pictures, videos and steam games. I want to re-place the hard drive with a SSD 800 gig SSD drive, I also have a 1 gig external hard drive. Can I edit copy everything to the 1 gig external hard drive then paste everything to the new 800 gig SSD drive?

You can move any and all your data like that, but any programs will need to be reinstalled if you want to have a glitch free experience going forward.

What 800GB SSD are you considering?

    He probably means 1TB.

Anyway, I'd second tiller's suggestion of reinstalling any programs when transferring from the old drive to the new. As for bulk data (pictures, documents, etc.), copy/paste away! You might want to cook up a meal in the meantime though, since I imagine that ~1TB of transfers would take a non-trivial amount of time to complete.
