The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    SSD: Superfetch On or Off?

    For those with SSD's, do you turn off superfetch or leave it on? Curious as to results. Thanks. I voted on, but just turned it off..... :)

    I left superfetch alone on my ul30vt and is currently off on my gx640 (same SSD - ocz agility). I see no difference between load time in terms of applications. Firefox still open in near instant and start up time remain more or less the same.
