Im thinking about buying another SSD to add to my lappy. Does it have to be the same brand/type and size or just the same size to allow for raid 0?

It just has to be the same size. Anything larger or smaller will adjust for the smallest disk. However, people generally prefer to pair with the same model.

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
It's highly preferred the same size to reduce waste, and preferably the same brand/model for best chances of compatibility. Too many RAID headaches with different model drives (and RAID in itself). Also be wary as you don't get TRIM command with RAID SSDs..
