Anyone have a guide as to how I would insert a CPU into the laptop?

Also, what would I need to get started?

Thanks a lot, I appreciate it! I searched NBR and apparently AC5 is the best, is that true? Also if it is, should I get it off eBay or are there a lot of fakes on there?

AS5 is definitely still one of the best; but I'm not sure if it's the best anymore. The eBay prices look more or less comparable to what you find on Newegg or in brick and mortars, so I don't think they're fakes... but you never know with these things.

Sounds good. I'm a total noob at this, this is my first time. I'm guessing I just put 1 pea-sized drop on the processor?

And how many processors will 3.5 g last me?

    Thanks.

You should use less. In fact, you should follow Arctic Silver's application instructions...

If they're all mobile processors, it'll probably be quite a while.

If you're a noob, try to buy from newegg.com and not from ebay.com
Processors are expensive. If you end up getting scammed, you may pay more for the processor at the end.

I have a laptop with a T9800 already. Basically I'm getting 2 laptops that are exactly the same except different graphics cards, and switching in the good processor and larger hard drive.

Newegg has, like, 5 mobile processors and they are all extremely overpriced. Newegg is not a good place for notebook CPUs.
