    S_P_A_Z and Alienware-Armando!!!!

    my Alienware Aurora m9700 is doing the same thing that SPAZ's was, except i did not mess with the processor! my power button and touchpad light will turn on, and if i hold the power button the HDD light will blink a few times and then stop... if the battery is put in it instantly turns on and i can hear the hdd spinning and it lights up, same with the ac adapter... HELP

    ok... have now switched out the processor with a similar one and i still have the same problem....

    Just one question, have you checked the BIOS? Maybe some mis-configuration...
