    Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to how to temporarily store a mSATA SSD (specifically this one) if I've thrown away the original packaging?

Basically, I managed to install the SSD into a notebook, but I'm currently in the process of exchanging that notebook for a different one.
Unfortunately, I've since thrown out the original plastic clamshell packaging that the SSD came in.

Since I want to keep the SSD to install in the notebook I'm expecting to receive and because I have to return the one I'm exchanging, I won't have a notebook to place the SSD in.

This is probably a very silly, basic question, but where should I put it in the meantime? A plastic ziploc bag? In a hard plastic box? Are there any precautions I should take re: static, metal components, etc?

    Thanks in advance!

Anti static bag ONLY. Get a used one for free from a computer shop. Store in a card board box, plastic creates static charges. Look at the way the manufacturer ships the product, especially higher cost SSD's.

@AU4U - Thanks! I would never have thought of asking for a used anti-static bag from a computer shop, that's a great idea. And thanks for the suggestion re: the card board box too, much appreciated!
