    Sager 5793 fried again :(

    Well after getting an 8800M GTX replacement for my sager 5793 and using it for about 8 months it looks like it fried again without gaming usage and with a relatively cool environment. The laptop was even pretty clean of dust inside.

    Anyway, what I wanted to know was would an Alienware M17X laptop 8800M GTX fit in the 5793?

    Can anyone chime in? Also I've been trying to find what the MXM type is for this system, is it 2.1, 3 or 4? I found sources saying each of these.

    Its an MXM GPU that isn't dependent on the laptop model, so yes it will work in your Sager provided it has the same interface.

    Sager tells me 5793 is MXM 2.0, this ebay item says MXM Factor III. But I've seen pictures of both 8800M GTX and they look almost totally identical.

    What do you guys think? Where are the sager experts? :\

    It also says the M17X is also MXM IV.
