I have had my Sager NP5793 for about 2 years now. I am not having any problems with it other than it is starting to slow down. I have been contemplating upgrading to Win7 from 64bit Vista and starting from scratch. In the process of that contemplation I thought, "Well, why dont I throw an SSD in there and see how it goes. Just for giggles."

Im running with 4gb of ram, T8100 (2.1ghz) processor - I think, and the Nvidia 8700GT gpu.

I assume that any 2.5" ssd would fit, but I dont really know much about laptop innards. So i dont know about compatibility issues and stuff.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

i would say any 2.5 inch SSD will work..a Best one is Intel G2 SSD... and with windows 7 it will have TRIM and be excellent...
