How much time does it take for performance restoration for 1tb disk?

Edit: On my 4-month-old drive, filled to about half capacity, and with 1 TB of data written to it (according to Samsung Magician), it took about 90 minutes start to finish. Your mileage may vary.

On the overclocker's forum, I have seen reports of 5 hours or more, depending on amount of capacity used and degradation experienced prior to running the restoration tool.

1TB drive, ~300GB of data, oldest is 22 days, and it took 90 minutes.

I've feeling for my even older 500GB driver with data that's pushing 250 days old, it's going to take half a day at least.

Stage 3 took 5hours for my 1tb evo 80% filled. Had also BsODs caused by the newest geforce drivers on stage 3. Strange enough, in the process the system was not fully responsive.

I wonder if they will come out with such a tool for the standard 840 which is also a TLC based drive.

So far, Samsung has refused to consider the older TLC drives as 'affected', even though the proof is out there.

    See:
Samsung 840 EVO read speed drops on old-written data in the drive - Page 120

The above is only one example in that overclock.net thread.

The owner of the Site Major Geeks also told me he has experienced very slow performance lately with his 840 and got a bit excited when I showed him this tool but was disappointed that it only works on the 840 EVO! :(
