    Read speeds are fine... but write speeds... not so much :(

    Any idea why I'm not seeing full write speeds? It's not on battery or power savings mode either. I had better write speeds a month ago, so clearly something has changed since then but I'm not sure what that could be...

    Do you have System Restore on? It really messes with the speeds...

    It's the write queue depth. Sustained writes croak whenever the memory controller isn't able to complete the internal maintenance in time. Sort of says in the descriptions, and most reviews will (..should) probably point that out.

    Usually people aren't going to run into any issues with this outside benchmarks, though.. It's a million times..ok.. many times.. faster than a hdd anyway.. But yes, if you have something running in the background that writes a lot of data, that's going to kill the performance earlier than normal, of course.
