    If you need the top speeds (sequential) go for it.

    I would be testing which mode (AHCI or RAID) has better latency. Even if I didn't put my drives in an RAID0 array. ;)

    Interesting, using raid slows speeds down.

    Did they run the same number of PCIe lines per drive with RAID and non-RAID?
