No, this is a 950 Pro Driver

It clearly states on the Samsung page:

The software for this "950 PRO NVMe Driver Installation" only supports the Samsung NVMe SSD 950 PRO

I'll have to give this a try. Any program anyone recommends to monitor my SSD temps? I wanna see if it's overheating. My laptop didn't come with thermal pads for the SSD so I'm running it just like that.

    1) The Thermal pads are a gimmick, I had them installed on mine and then removed them, didn't notice one bit of a difference, the problem with them is, they take the heat away from the SSD, but then there is no where for them to dissipate the heat as there is no fan blowing on them and the area where they are located is confined. Thus, all they do is take away the heat, and keep it in them. Not a very good idea.

    2) While running a benchmark, have Samsung Magician running, then go to SMART Details, there you would see the temp. No other program that I know of is currently able to read the temps of this NVMe SSD, tried CrystalDiskInfo, HWMonitor, they can't read.

Samsung NVME Driver works just fine with sm951, ssd works better & more efficient,
Most of heating & throttling issues happened with older firmware revs.
Check that your firmware is at least XB7W03Q0, Older than that are problematic.
2256MB/s Seq speed with CrystalMark for my device.

How do you update the firmware to this version? I thought Magician doesn't allow this?

I didn't, I got it with this fw originally.
Try to connect to your resseler.
    b.t.w.
All Lenovos notebooks which contained this oem module has been recalled for firmware update, somehow a normal fw update was not possible.
