This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     I reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate on my HP 2730p. While reinstalling drivers, I happened on a firmware update for my hard drive. Trying to install it resulted in an error where it said it could not update the BCD (boot configuration data). Suggestiosn?
