Hi. I am after some help please. I would like to install a 128gb SSD into my RF711 S07 uk laptop.
I have checked the inside and i have a 1tb currently installed and one compartment free.
I have phoned samsung a couple of times now hoping to get a dvd backup restore kit from them (previous laptops have always been sony vaio's; had the feature to create self install disks and also purchased a restore set from them direct in the past). However samsung advised on the phone that they do not provide backup dvd's and that i am to create a restore image using their recovery solution software.
I would like to have windows installed on the new ssd and the 1tb to become my storage area.
Basically if i was to clone the recovery partition and the local c:/ partition to the ssd would this then enable me to access the restore function (f4) and then enable a clean restore of windows?
Would this then install windows based on the fact it is a ssd; different configs?
    Thanks

If it actually installs Windows rather than putting out a drive image it should do that. If that doesn't do it maybe you can try run the Samsung SSD toolbox or run WEI and check if it will enable those optimisations for you.
