    Does anyone know if Samsung ever released those Mini PCI-e SSDs that were designed to work in all standard mini pci-e ports (not the ones with a SATA line)?

    For this version you need additional SATA controller on SSD. There is not so many space, and additional cost.

    Maybe in future.

    No but the ones that intel just released seem to work with a wide selection of laptops
