    Hi,
The Crucial/uk online memory scanner tells me that my NC10 can use a maximum of 4GB of RAM - 2GB per slot. Can anyone confirm this please?

Also, what is the max possible installable RAM on the NC20 please?

    Many thanks.

Well, a quick Google search suggests that the NC10 and the NC20 can only take a maximum of 2GB of memory as there is only one memory slot in either machine. Technically the chipset should support up to 4GB, but apparently there's debate as to whether the 4GB must or must not be spread out over two DIMMs. In the first case, 2GB will most likely be the max, but in the second case, you may be able to use a 4GB DIMM to take the machine to 4GB (apparently no one has tried that yet...).

Short answer: maybe; most likely not?

Wonder why Crucial is reading 2 x slots in my NC10? Strange.
    Will post if/when I try 4GB in an NC20.
    Many thanks.

The 4GB stick of memory will probably cost you half of what you paid for the NC20, if not more...

I doubt it would work tbh, i have an Nc10 and cant imagine that little 1.6 Atom trying to utilise 4gb of ram :p
