    I ran Crystal Disk Mark 6.0.2 benchmarking a 512GB Samsung 960 Pro that is presently my boot drive.It is 56% filled.
    The screenshots show 2 older driver versions and the new version.

    Once I get my 512GB 970 Pro back in the PC I'll test the new driver also.I've been testing it in a USB 3.1 Gen 2 NVMe enclosure attached to an R7800 router.

    It's very possible that this driver update is geared toward the new 970 EVO Plus where reviews have been showing other brands beating it in some crucial areas like 4K QD1

    BTW,during the running of CDM a high temperature of 57.2C was recorded using a thin wire sensor between the SSD and a heat spreader.
