How do we find out when this drive will support TRIM? Is it a driver download?

Afaik, this is no TRIM support for this drive yet. It's supposed to support TRIM... eventually... but Samsung is really taking their time with this one. When it arrives it will probably come in the form of a firmware upgrade.

OK, and said update would come from where? Samsung site, Windows Update, or Dell site?

If you're getting the drive from Dell, you should probably download the update from Dell. It'll probably work from elsewhere, though. I don't think they "brand" these drives in the way that OCZ, Transcend, Patriot, etc, brand Indilinx drives.

Yes, i was wondering what Samsung is doing about this, i think there was another thread on this but i cannot find it with the search.

I'm seeing that some drivers have been released under other vendors.

I have two Samsung SSD drives P128 and another and mine are fine. I've had my oldest for 6 months.

Those who flashed your firmware did you see any changes?

Having a dedicated thread to this will make these posts easier to follow.
