    Heyup guys.

My samsung is on the old VBM1801Q. I've been looking high and low for a new up to date firmware but couldn't find it. It's suppose to be available at the samsung site, but it's been pulled (HTTP 404). There is no support on the drive page either. I've called Samsung up, and they told me to refer to the 'computer vendor', which is themselves, and not Dell, nor HP, because I bought the drive as an upgrade and wasn't part of the original notebook (UL32A).

TRIM now functional with Samsung SSDs - BeHardware

So yeah, now I'm stuck with no internal garbage collection support (although I checked the TRIM command is not disabled, I do not know if it is functional), and no help from the manufacturer. I cannot use the VBM19C1Q which can be found for the OCZ and corsair drives. I believe what I'm looking for is the VBM1901Q.

Just wondering if anyone knows where to get the original TRIM firmware for that drive, or am I the only one in the world who bought one as a replacement upgrade.

I do not want to buy another drive to replace a perfectly good SSD (except missing garbage collection support).
