    Hey there,

I'm a user of a Samsung R710 laptop, which consist of:
    - C2D P7350 2 GHz
    - 4 GB DDR3
    - GeForce 9600M GT
    - OCZ Vertex 60 GB SSD

I'm considering of changing the CPU to a better one, but I don't know if is it necessary. I've checked the Polish auction site for new CPU and found T and P C2D series. I've also read the best for me would be T9500 CPU but my question is - is it worth? Where can I find some performance reviews.

Why do you feel like you need a faster CPU? What tasks are you doing on your notebook? For gaming and day-to-day tasks, what you have is sufficient. Also, what motherboard do you have? Download CPU-Z to find out, if you don't know what you have, but I assume the PM45.

P7350 is fast enough for normal usage.

Only when doing CPU intensive applications you will notice the upgrade to T9500.

A 25% increase in CPU speed is unlikely to be noticeable unless you are running applications which fully load the CPU for several minutes at a time, which a T series CPU will give more heat and fan noise and shorter battery time compared to the P series.

I would put keep the money towards whatever the next generation has to offer.

I'm using PM45 as you said. Well, to be honest, I'm using laptop mainly for gaming - FarCry, CSS, HL2, Fallout 3, etc. As you can see these titles aren't so new, but I can get T9500 for around 80-100 euro. Quite good price for me.

That's a great price if it's for real.

Keep in mind that it will hardly improve your fps though. It will make your laptop hotter and louder.

I've got my Samsung from the Netherlands, version AS05NL. It's REALLY quiet, but I consider it as hotter if I want to install T9500. I just see P7350 is more energy than performance-friendly.
