its actually both, the 5 is for OEM (usually) and the 7 is the one sold at stores

ok i have 7, but the samsung SSD software is not recognizing it as a samsung drive for some reason, it tells me that the SSD i am using is Samsung PM810 and the software is meant for Samsung SSDs only, kind of paradoxical considering it clearly recognizes my SSD as a PM810(which is the 470, i believe) by Samsung yet it says it is a non samsung SSD.
I am trying to update the firmware.

I have a Samsung SSD 470 Series Model Number(warranty good registered thru samsung): MZ-5PA064/US,,its came in the Samsung Retail Box, its not oem packaged and has the 3 year warranty printed on the box, with user manual and magician tool box card. I asked when I bought this wether it was retail or oem,,Amazon said retail, sure enough it was sealed in retail box, not a tray item(OEM)without retail box. Maybe the -7PA is the SSD's that came before the 470 Series-5PA models and this is why you cant flash up with the 470 series-5PA firmware updates, if its a glitch,, contact samsung support.
    Cheers
