I have a samsung x65 and hate the screen, it is not bright enough and lacks contrast.
I want to change it. I don't mind if i have to drop down to a 1440 x 900 resolution. Please can someone recommend a panel!

anyone know?

Do you want glossy or matte?

I don't really mind. If i'm doing photo editing i connect to an external dispaly anyway, so for when i'm on the move i'm not really concerned!

I'm still open to suggestions.

I have asked this question once before on this forum but it fell on deaf ears. But this time i have a little more info that hopefully will help.
I have a Samsung X65 laptop with a Samsung LTN155P1-L03 15.4" WSXGA+ widescreen.
I despise this screen, it has poor birghtness, poor contrast and lacks any vibrance in terms of colour. I want to change it for an LG phillps screen of the same resolution as i have discovered they are much better in terms of picture quality.
I really can't live with this screen any longer it just depresses me everytime i use it. Please can someon help me with choosing the correct replacement panel. This is a last attempt at getting some help, otherwise i'm just going to have to stick it on ebay and get a new laptop as i realy can't live with it any longer.
Any help will be very much appreciated!!! -

Perhaps no one has got any suggestions. However, there's a nice Samsung panel in the Zepto Mythos, but I haven't a clue as to how easy it is to swap display panels and whether they have standard interfaces like many other notebook components.
I'm merging this with your previous thread.

as i've found out, fiddling with my older systems, the actual connector interface is the same for every panel, but the wiring might be different. Also, on most panels the power for the backlight invertor goes through this connection, but some have an additional connection for it.
I guess you need to do a bit of research on what panels were supplied for your model, then find some info about those..
You may also have at websites like www.laptopspares.co.uk -
BTW, swapping a panel isn't difficult, but most probably you will have to take the whole system apart

Thanks for that, i've already dismantled the laptop to identify the existing panel so swapping it isn't a problem.
I have rung a few companies that supply panels but they seem to be saying, yes we can supply you with a panel but it could be the wrong voltage etc etc.
Samsung X65 screen.
