    Use the Toolkit to get the new 211 firmware.

    SanDisk Extreme SSD (60GB, 120GB, 240GB & 480GB): version R211 (release date: Oct 17, 2012)

    WARNING: If you already have the SSD Toolkit installed, then please update to the latest version of the SSD Toolkit application before performing the firmware update for the Extreme. You do not have to uninstall the previous version of the SSD Toolkit; the latest version will replace the previous version.

    SSD Toolkit support information

    You can burn the firmware to a DVD/CD or onto a USB flash drive for installation.

    Just bought sandisk extreme 120gb for my laptop

    Am i going to update the firmware before i install windows7 in it?

    Or the sandisk update program works in windows7?

    I would update the firmware before you install Win7.

    The update program is best used as a bootable CD/DVD that is independent of the O/S used.

    I updated the 2 I have from a bootable USB flash drive created by the SanDisk firmware update.
