Won't suit my needs, I need 6 GB worth of storage as I have a huge video library and I want everything to be SSD, HDDs go to he**. So I would wanna have 2 x2TB 2.5" SSDs + 1 mSATA 2TB SSD in a RAID 0 config to have 6 TB :)

God I hope this means it will be in 2.5" soon. Increasing speed is great and all, but by now we should be seeing increased capacity.

Indeed bro, speed have come to a level where really outside of benchmarks, one could not distinguish the difference between a SanDisk Extreme Pro or a Crucial BX100 or whatever SSD. We need more storage to get rid of our HDDs forever

Nah, benchmarks are just so poorly written (vs. the goal that they should strive to achieve) that they can't distinguish between the two. ;)

There is no mistaking an ssd and an SSD in (my) real world use. Both might have 4 wheels and gas in the tank, but one has NoS when the pedal is to the metal. :)

Oh I wish, but the technology needs to improve before HDDs can be replaced forever. As of now, unless you keep your SSD chilled to a certain point, it will lose data while not in use way faster than a HDD. So as of now HDDs are still better for long term storage.

I need to find the post by someone here at NBR, but it showed a chart that if the data was written at higher temps and stored at lower temps the lifespan was many many years before loss of data.
