I finally got my new SSD and everything seems to be working fine. As I was doing further checks, I found out that the temperature diode doesn't seem to be working. Aside from that, it's completely fine. Will this cause any problems? I don't want to have to return it since I got it from the US and it's gonna cost me more.

Is the drive even supposed to have a temp sensor, quite a few SSDs don't have them.
-
I think it has a sensor since it is capable of showing a reading. It's quite weird though since it says it's 128 C but it's nowhere near that temperature.
-
Well, then it could be a faulty sensor or it could be that the monitoring software doesn't report the value correctly.
-
Is that something that I should be absolutely concerned about?
-
I wouldn't be too concerned about it. Most SSDs don't even bother to add sensors, so it'll be expected that they won't ever overheat under even heavy usage.
