With sandy bridge just around the corner, Ihave a question, will SB increase graphical performance with use of highend GPUs. or are we just looking at a faster processor (which is always good) and improved graphics when dedicated GPU not in use?

Faster processor and faster IGP when no need for a discrete GPU.

Just have to hope that the drivers have been refined for switchable graphics. Most likely no combined hybrid graphics though.
