I have the Asus g73jh laptop. I'm aware that I can upgrade almost everything but the GPU. There are some g73 owners who have upgraded their i7 720QMs to 940XMs.

So here I am hearing about all this Sandy Bridge business, but what is it exactly? What types of improvements can we expect from it and is there any chance I can upgrade my laptop to have it?

Sorry. Extremely nooby here. Thanks for any responses.
