I know people ask a lot about Merom, I'm more interested in the Santa Rosa platform that comes with it. Specifically the internal 802.11n wireless chipset with backward compatibility and the NAND flash memory on the motherboard. What do you guys think?

You're talking about something that is expected by the earliest towards the second quarter of next year. So if you factor in release, and then availability, and after that manufacturers releasing notebooks based on it. You could wait for 1 year !!! That's not like a 2 months wait.
I don't know. But for me in one year my needs change a lot. I don't plan that far ahead when it comes to computers -
If you can wait, then it's probably worth waiting. Most people can't wait that long though...

hmmm, I didn't notice that it was that far off from merom. Interesting that they have a floor model already but it's not due out for so long. I guess that makes my pending notebook purchase easier.

Heh i baught my notbook 2 months ago and I plan on upgrading to santa rosa when a decent DX10 videocard is released
