Hello. So I have a 1tb external drive that I was running as a backup, extra storage, and using it for readyboost. Today, after I finally got my win 7 moving I tried to use it again for readyboost but in _my computer the drive shows as a "sata bridge." I think it might have been plugged in (usb) during installation. what is a sata bridge? ty http://img44.imageshack.us/i/satabridge.jpg/

I thought you could name storage / anohter machine... attach to a wireless or other... and have the information available in W7?
I am sorry to add another question to your question.. but I think the answer will be the same(ish) for both.. consider it a Bump for your great Question..
Thanks in advance for any Ninja / Pro's who take the time to help!
Be well all, JW
I forgot that it would be Professional or Ultimate.. I dont know if home premium has the server option.. ? -
Are you sure that image is of My Computer (or just Computer on 7)? Because it seems like the Devices and Printer to me.

hmm, yeah you got it patrick. the shot is of the devices and printers. No idea what JW is suggesting though I appriciate the bump! Looks like I know as little as it appears. However, I just want to use this drive for backup/storage/readyboost. not sure why it has sata-bridge and even being designated as such makes much difference from before?
btw
thank you.Attached Files:

No idea, but it should still be the same to get to it. Right click the drive, properties, readyboost tab.
