I have an Inspiron 8100 which I am no longer willing to put money into.

I am having problems with the LCD/Video. I tried another video card, same problem.

Anyway, I'm thinking of scrapping out the notebook. I figure the Video Cards at least out to be worth something. Also, the LCD "MAY" be good. Inverter is fine.

Any thoughts on trying to scrape a couple of bucks back out of it without simply tossing it in the landfill?

Might want to throw it on eBay. As long as you are honest about the condition, you might get a few bucks for it. Take a look there and see what similar notebooks are going selling at.
