My screen seems that it should be brighter. My ipod, tv, and even my cell phone screens are brighter. I have the setting all the way up using the quickset interface (the Fn+Up or Down arrow key to adjust) but it doesnt get that bright. Im plugged in on the high peformance battery setting.

I’m not sure about ipod or you mobile phone’s screen. But TVs are generally much brighter than built-in notebook LCDs. Even desktop LCDs are brighter in comparison.

The M1530's brightness isnt horrible, but its not excellent either. If it REAllY Dark, and yu think something is wring with it, send it into Dell. But, the screen isnt spectacular or anything.
