Okay so, the last IPS screen I used was that supreme RGB glory that everyone bowed down to on the M17x R2, and since then, I've never seen a screen come remotely close on a laptop. My recently broken Kindle Fire HDX was the last thing to come close to such a panel.

So since there's an obvious abundance of IPS screens out now, what're the best ones out for the gaming market?

Well, what laptop are you interested in putting it in? It all depends on if it's LVDS, eDP, single channel, dual channel, 30 or 40 pin, thickness, bracket placement, etc. 4K LCD's are making an inroad but I don't like them, mainly due to scaling. Resolution is way too fine to use at native without scaling to what is effectively 1080p anyhow. They look beautiful, but scaling issues make them less than useful. Otherwise there's usually an IPS choice or two depending on what laptop you're going for.
