Screen disassembly

So, due to getting conflicting reports from hwinfo and moninfo, I decided it was best to take a look at the actual sticker on my laptop's screen. I started taking it apart, but got some extreme resistance from the bottom portion of the screen. I already busted most of the tabs on the left of the screen to keep the frame on... I don't want to do the same to the bottom.

So, I imagine to get to the back of the screen I will have to unscrew the screws? My question is, which screws need to come out? All of them?

 

More info will be needed, what laptop model, what are HWiNFO and HW Monitor reporting?

 

Laptop model is Clevo P751zm,

Hwinfo is stating it's the:
Optronics B156HW01 V1

However, it is a 40 pin (LVDS) display, and apparently it's a TN panel.

Moninfo is giving me contrary info, but I can't seem to find a display model anywhere on it... might just be my inability with the program though.

Anywho, I figured I might as well open it up and be sure. Considering the HWinfo is pretty concise, I imagine that is the correct panel.

Got it figured out, don't think I broke anything. Glad I did too! Apparently it's the b156han01.1, which is apparently eDP

Didn't want to disassemble the whole thing, so had to take a picture so I could read it

After looking into it, appears everyone has a problem with software reading the b156han01.1 correctly haha.

 

Glad everything worked out, I'm not surprised some monitoring programs may give the wrong info. Also, that's more for the future, but make sure you use the latest version of those programs, sometime solder version may not handle the info they get the same way.

If you ever have other disassembly needs, I suggest you check out the Clevo/Sager section of the forum, that's where the owners usually look for posts of that nature including some resellers who are usually quite knowledgeable on how to take the laptops apart.
