Considering that I don't do professional design, art and whatever needs a perfect gamut, how big is the visual difference between, say, 45%, 72% and 100% NTSC/sRGB? I'm currently using a laptop with what seems to be 95% sRGB TN screen, pretty happy with the image quality on it, but my next laptop is most likely going to be 72% NTSC IPS. Just wondering how different it can be and whether it's an upgrade or a downgrade. I'm playing games most of the time on it, also watch some movies occasionally.

They're effectively the same, but the IPS will still look better.

There can be other differences too and might make the 'better' monitor look worse to you (or a more discerning viewer).

For games and videos though? It will be an upgrade in your eyes, I'm sure.
