I'm looking for guidance for a good 17" laptop screen privacy filter (it's for the alienware in my sig, 16:10 ratio). I tried amazon and ebay and the stuff is either too expensive or on the cheap side still has a wide viewing angle which defeats its purpose.

Any boutique or specialty shops that sell or customize these are appreciated suggestions. My screen is glossy at 1920 x 1200, if that makes any difference.

Word to the wise when in public your give up all privacy including privacy in using your laptop in public. No amount of privacy filter is going to stop prying eyes especially those that do the prying eyes. If Amazon and eBay filters don't fit then your only other choice is to use it at home to know you have privacy there from prying eyes. You screen size makes no difference prying eyes will pry that's a fact of human nature what your trying to do won't stop it just attract more attention to your setup as they will say they must have something important that is why they use privacy screen so in fact your setting yourself up to get prying eyes instead of avoiding them. So leave the private stuff to do at home when your home and do public stuff when your in public aka banking online at home on secure wifi and public just browsing so sd to avoid giving out much personnel information as possible. Those will save you more then the privacy screen will do. And the last part to prevent prying eyes....well don't use it in public or have it off when in public setting......

This is a forum about technology not philosophical ways to lead your life in society. Did I mention going out in public?

Please keep the subject matter on-topic.
